Quick trip to Toronto - My highlights
It’s been a moment since I wanted to write about my short trip to Toronto and I either didn’t have time or didn’t know where to start as it was a pretty spontaneous and improvised trip. So, I decided to simply write about the places I visited and liked without any schema or particular order.
Breakfast at Early Bird Coffee & Kitchen
613 Queen St W.
I was lucky enough to randomly stay on Queen Street W. and have this cute coffee shop right at the corner with one of the best nut butter toast (topped with caramelized bananas!). Plus, the rooftop terrasse was left alone all for myself where of course, I had to take some pics and enjoy a short sunbathing session.
As I said, it was a quick improvised trip to Toronto where I booked my Airbnb just a few days before without further research and I must say Queen West was my best bet! This neighbourhood has great shops, street art and restaurants with a vibrant atmosphere and within a few blocks from downtown Toronto. Plus, I must mention my Airbnb had this very particular interior design far from any hotel room I’ve stayed before. You can see it by yourself here and get a 45$ discount on your first Airbnb reservation click here.
The downtown secret gardens
14 Temperance St.
If you’ve read my travel blog posts and watched my vlogs you might know by now that I love to explore underground places and “secret” spots avoiding tourist traps and overwhelmed attractions as much as possible. Well, the Cloud Gardens located in the middle of downtown is for sure, one of my great discoveries on this trip and if you like gardens and green houses as much as I do you definitely need to take a glimpse at this one!
Momofuku Noodle bar - best ramen in town!
190 University Ave
I was kind of curious to try this noodle bar with such reputation being one of the best ramen spot in town. Let me tell you, it’s all very true! I tried the classic Shoyu pork ramen and it was perfectly delicious for a very reasonable price. A must try!
